As part of the training Program of the municipal police driven by the Ministry of Public Safety of the city, two agents of the tourist police received special training by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States.
Agent Luís Roberto Casas Zamora and agent Juan Antonio Meza Mendoza, received the benefits of the International Training Program of the FBI Academy, which imparted the course during the month of April in the city of Tucson Arizona, and was in charge of the link officers of the FBI with neighbor cities of the Boarder such as San Diego, Arizona, Tamaulipas among others.

Arrest techniques, negotiating, vehicle intervention, detection and identification of stolen vehicles, as well as interception of search warrants, were some of the topics related with this special course and training by part of the Justice department of the federal investigation bureau.

In the case of detection and identification of stolen vehicles, training was conducted by the Department of Stolen Vehicles from the state of Arizona. Where the agents from Rosarito Beach obtained valuable knowledge to be able, for example, to verify or identify overlapping series or quickly identify the cars year by just looking at the number series.

The secretary of Municipal Public Safety, the retired First Captain of Infantry Jorge Eduardo Montero Álvarez, informed that thanks to the coordination of the FBI and this Secretary Offices it was possible to give such training to the local officers of Rosarito, so when time is ready they will share their knowledge with the rest of the corporation.
However, he anticipated that thanks to the reach they have accomplished with the Public Safety authorities from California in recent work tours, they will take advantage of the possibility of sending more agents to assist to these types of courses and other special trainings in the Tustin California Academy.

He stressed that the responsibility of the 4th municipality of Rosarito Beach is not only to recuperate the security that the city needs and demand, but to strengthen the human and material infrastructure so safety can be given to the municipality; and to train the elements to guarantee the clean up of the police corps through a constant look out.
