An Extensive coordination
took part between the municipality and PGJE to facilitate the foreign resident Denounces

As an effort to facilitate the administration of justice in this county, the forth municipality of Rosarito through its Foreign Resident Attention Office (FRAO), served as a link to a major foreign community based in this city so they could know the role that the PGJE(General Justice Attorneys of the State Office) plays in Baja California.

Officials of the PGJE attended the United Society of Baja California (USBC monthly meeting on the past Saturday morning (10 A.M) on May 3rd. The meeting took place in the Rosarito Beach Hotel in the Mexicano event room. About 100 Americans assisted to the meeting, giving them the opportunity of receiving several answers about the hot topic of public security.

Some guests who attended this meeting were Eduardo Martinez who is in charge of International Affairs of the PGJE; Ignacio Razo, the director of preliminary investigations of the Deputy Offices of PGJE and Adolfo Santiago Azcárraga who is Public ministry of the PGJE of this municipality.

Anne Hines, Chair woman of the USBC, gave a warm welcome to the reunion and the representative of the Committee of Tourism and Conventions (COTUCO) of Rosarito Beach, Ron Raposa offered a brief introduction about the guest.

The holder of the Department of Care for Foreign Residents also known as Foreign Resident Attention Office (FRAO) Marisa Molina Villalba, gave details about the meeting, expressing that it lasted about an hour, and that Eduardo Martinez gave the main speech and explained the role of the PGJE at a state level.

Eduardo Martinez who is in charge of International Affairs of the PGJE described the progress of the work done to support the callings of the foreign community, such as linking their emergency 066 number call to the Control Center C4 and give bilingual assistance; He also mentioned the service of the PGJE that will be soon be provided in San Diego California to receive denounces of criminal actions suffered in México.

He also gave some advice to avoid being a victim of felonies; some of them are to get to know your neighbors, use different routes to go to either your home or Job and to be cautious of not having conversations in public places such as restaurants or reunions about money or economical transactions.

By his part Ignacio Razo the director of preliminary investigations of the Deputy Offices of PGJE in Rosarito, focused his discussion on local affairs and answered questions from the audience, saying that currently there is one person per shift, who speaks English.

He informed that the work shifts in the PGJE of Rosarito are 24 hours of work by 48 hours of rest, which is why it is guaranteed that someone will assist the foreigner while he is making the complaint.

Finally Marisa Molina Villalba anticipated that FRAO will keep on facilitating assistance and orientation to the foreign community groups who reside in this city, whom are mainly U.S citizens to make them aware of the various government agencies through this kind of meetings and conferences.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><>
