An Easy to Use Solution to Communicate with Friends and Associates in the U.S.
Whenever people travel outside the U.S., they encounter the challenge of staying in touch with friends and business associates back home. Globaltel Media took on the task of solving this need with the development of Cherple ™, the first application of its kind to allow for a two-way, real-time conversation between an online P.C. anywhere in the world and any cell phone in the U.S. via text messages (SMS), and without the need for a subscription, registration or a special wireless plan. Standard text messaging rates apply to the U.S. cell phone user, but there is no cost to the on-line user who initiates and maintains the conversation.
A Success Story in the Making

From the time it was launched in January 2009, this new way of communication is being used in 148 countries by almost 10 million users. Most users come from the US, followed by Poland, India, and Canada with Mexico following closely.

“With the world’s population having sent more than three trillion text messages last year, the app offers an easy-to-use and easy-to-access SMS solution for the our global society,” explained Robert Sanchez, Globaltel Media president and CEO. “It allows families and friends to stay connected anytime and anywhere even across international borders, time zones and oceans” he added.

The application can be run directly from www.cherple.com or downloaded for free and used as a desktop application for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh computers. The Spanish version of the Web site is soon to be released and is expected to fuel its success in our region.
