Deadlines
The last days to accept new ads or changes are 7th and 21st of the month. You must submit your new ad or changes prior that date to your sales representative or via e-mail or cd.

Ad design
Baja Times has a staff of high talented graphic designers who can produce ads if these specs are beyond individual capabilities. Please talk to your sales representative to see if this is the best option to you. You must submit text, logos and photos in proper format to the graphic designer prior our deadline in order to have your ad ready. If you submit the material late, the ad will be saved for the next available deadline. No copyrighted material will be accepted unless you supply to our graphic department with a written permission of the author.

Preferred position
Advertisers can pay 20% premium and receive priority positioning in the newspaper upon space availability. While every effort to comply with advertiser request for positioning, no positions can be guaranteed unless prior payment received. Agencies insertion orders that specify a position cannot be accepted unless payment agreement signed.

Late Ads
Space ordered and not canceled by deadline will be charged, even if no copy is provided and no advertising appears. No credit is given on space ordered and not published for whatever reason. If the ad is running and no changes are provided by our deadline, the ad will appear the same. No last minute changes will be accepted.

Mechanical Specs
We can only accept digital files via internet or in cd, PC format only. We accept only corel draw or jpeg and tiff files. No PDF nor Mac files will be accepted.
All color ads must be prepared as composite CMYK. Rich black reverses must be 100%K. Do not use RGB black for text as you will experience registration problems and obscured text. Color text should use  as few channels as possible to create the color. Be aware that pantone colors are not accepted. All colors are converted to CMYK and may not reproduce as expected. RGB files are not acceptable and can not be used as extreme color shifts may occur if we convert your RGB files into CMYK.

Credit Terms
Cash payment in advance for new advertisers is required for all businesses placing advertising of an eight of a page or bigger ads in their first month of operation. No exemptions. If credit is approved, the advertiser will be assigned a specific credit limit. If the limit is exceeded, or if the advertiser fails to comply with the normal payments, Baja Times, at its sole discretion require the payment of the outstanding account balance within 15 days, refuse to extend further credit, or revoke credit privileges.

Returned Checks
All checks must be payable to Editorial Playas de Rosarito or it will be returned and your ad will not be placed.

Request for Adjustments
Request for adjustments should be made immediately and must be made 7 days of receipt of invoice, for credit information and inquiries please call your sales representative.

Agency/Advertiser Liability
Notwithstanding the provisions of any advertising agency insertion order to the contrary, advertising agencies placing advertising share full liability for payment and credit establishment with a client.

Approvals:
All advertising material is subject to Baja Times approval, including position, subject matter, form, size, wording, photos, illustration and typography. Baja Times reserves the right to edit, reject  or cancel any advertising at any time. Advertisements simulating news must carry the title words “Paid insertion”.
